William James letter to Violet Paget, 1908 July 29.

James writes to Violet Paget ("Vernon Lee"), 29 July 1908, from Lamb House in Rye. He compliments her on her book Gospels of anarchy, which she had sent a copy of to James, and which included a chapter on him. He discusses the book at length, admiring chapters on Nietsche, Tolstoi, Emerson, Ruskin, and Wells, and comments favorably on other aspects of the book, including a section on Henri Bergson.
